Empower. Change. Evolve.
Empowering people to evolve in the face of challenges caused by everyday stressors.
Most of the people who contact us is due to having relationship issues with a loved one, family, friends or work colleagues. We know the importance of a person’s capacity to establish and maintain healthy relationships is the cornerstone of happiness and mental health. When our relationships start to falter, life can seem hopeless or out of control. Some difficulties in interpersonal relationships can be attributed to poor communication skills or an inability to adjust to life changes that restructure relationships. The way you handled a problem in the beginning of a relationship may no longer prove effective. Over time individuals in relationships grow, and this may create a need for new strategies for approaching problems and communication.
While some relationship issues may have clearly identified sources of conflict, others may not. You may find that you often struggle to feel understood. You may notice a pattern of frequent arguments with your spouse, partner, family, friends or co-workers, but the reason for your ongoing struggles may be unclear to you. It is important to consider that a relationship problem may actually be the symptom of an underlying mental health issue, such as depression, ADHD, anxiety, or anger management issues. Our therapists can help you explore your unique situation and determine if your relationship issues may be related to a mental health condition.
Momentum Counseling offers a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for you to explore your feelings and understand your behaviors. Our therapists offer tools and teach communication skills and strategies. Therapy can help you identify patterns, make changes, move through difficult transitions, understand ongoing relational concerns, and achieve your life goals. In this healing relationship with your therapist, you can find acceptance and work collaboratively to create a more meaningful life with healthy relationships.
The four cornerstones serve as a foundation how we help clients feel more empowered.
Our Therapists are professionally licensed clinical social workers in Illinois, dedicated to providing clients with the highest level of integrity and care.
